Why Consider Orthodontics?
Did you know that not only are straighter teeth better looking than crooked ones, but often they can be healthier too?
When you clean your teeth you need to ensure that they are clean interdentally (that’s between your teeth). The best way to do this is to use floss or interdental brushes to ensure that your teeth are really clean between each one. But if your teeth are crooked it can be difficult to get the floss or brushes in to these tight and difficult to reach areas – straighter teeth are much easier to keep clean.
What are Clear Orthodontics
Clear orthodontic braces are a simple affordable series of clear positioning trays which replaces the traditional train-track braces, these clear aligners gently guide your teeth from their present to the desired position.
How much will the treatment cost?
Clear braces are on average 2/3rds the cost of any competing system. Of course the costs vary according to severity and patient compliance.
So, why Clear Braces?
Well, in comparison to existing systems clear braces are wire free and do away with the need to bond metal onto the teeth. They are clear, and removable, allowing you, the wearer, to eat that steak dinner, give that public speech, meet that client without embarrassment or discomfort. You simply remove, brush, floss, rinse and reinsert: Your clear braces will do the rest.

Disadvantages of Clear Braces
There are actually very few disadvantages of clear orthodontic braces, they are comfortable, work effectively and are affordable. They are however not suitable for people that have severe bite problems or crooked back teeth.
Clear braces are suitable for moving the front teeth in the ‘cosmetic zone’ and can not be used to correct bite problems with the back teeth. If you have bite problems then we will refer you to a specialist orthodontist in Harrow for further treatment and assessment.
We are happy to say that patients travel from around the Harrow, Wealdstone and Hatch End areas to visit our dental practice for clear orthodontic braces and we’d be happy to welcome you too.
